The hands that will offer and the feet that will approach are washed in the basin made from the serving women's mirrors. John 13:14 records Jesus saying you also should wash one another's feet — the basin washing at the tabernacle's installation is the formal institution of the principle that sacred service requires the cleansing God provides.
