“And the morrow after they entered into Cesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.”
The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting him and had called together his relatives and close friends.—Cornelius's preparation ('was expecting him') shows eagerness and faith that divine promise will be fulfilled. His assembly of relatives and friends creates a household community ready to receive gospel instruction.
