“(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.”
As it is written: 'He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever' — Paul quotes Psalm 112:9 (LXX 111:9): the righteous (*dikaiosynē*) person gives liberally (*skedarennýō*, scatter abroad), and this righteousness is *eternal* (*eis ton aiōna*).
