'For a long time Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest and without law — Azariah recalled Israel's history of religious chaos (כִּי־יָמִים רַבִּים לְיִשְׂרָאֵל בְּלֹא אֱלֹהִים אֱמֶת וּבְלֹא כֹהֵן מוֹרֶה וּבְלֹא תוֹרָה).
